Reduced construction time & reliance on skilled labour
environmentally sustainable design
Significant energy savings
widespread application across all geographic regions
Fastcast™ is a new, innovative residential building
technology developed by PBS.
Fastcast™ delivers ecologically sustainable, quality
family homes in faster timeframes and with less skilled
labour than traditional building methods.
The Fastcast™ building technology utilises a patented
precast concrete footing and wall system. Once
assembled, the external façade is painted with the
finished result equal to a rendered brick veneer home.
In addition to building homes in faster timeframes
and with less skilled labour, Fastcast™ delivers
environmental and sustainable advantages. For
example, the manufacturing process for Fastcast™
produces less carbon emissions than the traditional
building materials used in brick veneer construction.
PBS has recently delivered a pilot program of six
Fastcast™ homes for Defence Housing Australia (DHA).
The pilot comprised four design types with six different
street elevations ranging from conventional tiled roof
streetscapes to
contemporary metal roof and skillion
roof designs.
The pilot exceeded DHA’s expectations and PBS is now
working with DHA on future projects for Fastcast™
homes across Australia.
The portability and ease of assembly of Fastcast™
homes makes the technology ideal for housing across
all regions
of Australia including remote locations.
