In addition to our work throughout the ACT, PBS has now completed 2 residential roll-outs for Defence Housing Australia (DHA) in Ipswich and Brisbane.
PBS was awarded the contract to build 31 homes in Fairview Rise Estate, Ipswich. Located just 45 minutes west of Brisbane, Ipswich is home to the Airforce’s largest RAAF base, Amberly.
The homes comprise 4-bedrooms and feature large block sizes averaging 850m2. The estate is close to community facilities, Ipswich’s city centre and only minutes from the Amberly base.
Due to Fairview’s location there were a number of acoustic requirements on the land, including achieving
a given 
slab height on all homes and incorporating further special acoustic requirements on 2 homes, in particular the
adaption of windows, door seals and ducted air.
PBS also completed 20 homes at Pickering Hill Estate in Brisbane’s north west. While only 10 minutes from
Brisbane’s CBD, the estate is conveniently located minutes from local schools and shopping facilities.
The brick homes feature cladding combination to the front façade and comprise 4-bedrooms, with an ensuite and
double garage.
The team managed to deliver these projects ahead of schedule despite the ambitious nature of the projects and
delays due to wet weather.
