Located in Cannonvale, just 3.5km from Airlie Beach, Tranquile is a resort style development featuring lagoon pool, spa, gym, BBQ area and recreation rooms.
Tranquile comprises 69, 2 and 3-bedroom townhouses and a 31-unit apartment building with 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units, some with dual key facility. The apartments also include basement car parking and lift access.
All townhouses and apartments feature superior design and finishes including stone benchtops, stainless steel gas and electric appliances and split-system air-conditioning.
Tilt-Up concrete walls around slab on ground form the 2-storey townhouses, in addition to the first floor structural timber flooring system and Bondor ‘Solarspan’ roofing system. Concrete slab construction with reinforced masonry walls were used for the apartment building and structural steel roof framing was incorporated for the Bondor ‘Solarspan’ roofing system.
The team overcame many challenges during construction, including a longer than normal wet season and their remote location away from suppliers and commercial subcontractors.
Before construction commenced the PBS team removed 150 palm trees from the site, which in addition to several rare cultivated boab trees, have now been returned to the site giving Tranquile an established feel.
