Completed in June 2009, the Student Accommodation project at University of Canberra included design and construction of 507 beds throughout 18 building in addition to a common facility building.
All building feature Formliner to pre-cast glazed curtin walls, mini orb with Naw Kaw stain finish to pre-cast.
The Canberra team engineered the 3 storey pre-cast wall panels to allow bracing below the first suspended slab. This enable the team to fast track the pouring of the first floor suspended slab.
Due to the close proximity of each building and the undulating site, standing the pre-cast panels progressively offered major construction logistic challenges.
