Glendyne Training and Education Centre is a registered non-state school operating on a 140acre farm just outside Hervey Bay managed by Queensland Baptist Care. Glendyne provides alternative education for students from mainstream schooling offering small class sizes, hands-on learning and mentor support away from the distractions of suburban life.
The project included the construction of a new office administration building, refurbishment of the existing administration building and erection of a large covered basketball area.
The administration buildings incorporate a variety of cladding materials which give the school a modern appeal and are highly durable. The interior is designed to provide maximum security to staff and students within a non-confrontational environment.
During construction Glendyne remained fully operational. PBS maintained constant communication with the school
and staff throughout construction ensuring the site ran smoothly and the staff, students and subcontractors were
safe at all times.
