Located on Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road in Urraween, The Bradnam’s Windows and Doors Factory is a purpose built 3000m² commercial/industrial factory.
The project included construction of manufacturing, sales/showroom and office facilities. The large industrial warehouse incorporated a gantry crane, capable of lifting up to 5 tonne over a span of 18 meters, to a maximum height of 10m. In addition, the project included 50 car parking spaces and extensive concrete and civil works.
Bradnam’s Factory comprised a steel structure, concrete tilt panels, metal cladding and long-run metal roofing. The modern designed façade utilized expansive tinted glazing with alucobond façade detailing.
Major challenges during the project include:
- Factoring alternative solution to comply with QLD Fire requirements;
- Coordination of external services in the area;
- Tight contract Program, which was maintained and constructed in an 18 week timeframe.
